PRP — Platelet Rich Plasma
Application of platelet rich plasma, separated from the person's own blood, to the skin or scalp.
What is it?
In PRP, a small amount of your own blood is drawn, platelet rich plasma is separated from it through a specific process, and that plasma is injected into the skin or scalp.
How is it planned?
Your medical history and, where necessary, blood values are assessed beforehand. The number of sessions and the intervals are planned individually.
Procedure and recovery
Because blood is drawn and processed, the appointment takes somewhat longer. Redness and tenderness may follow in the treated area.
Possible risks
Bruising, tenderness and, rarely, infection may occur at the injection site. It is not performed in people with blood disorders or clotting problems.
